Block of the Month
2010 - 2011
For Block of the month this year, we chose a different star block for each month from the Quilters Cache website. There are different degrees of
difficulty, a variety of techniques and methods included in the patterns.
The directions and supply lists seem clear especially if you get the
measurements correct. If you would decide to create an entire quilt of one
of the patterns, there are examples of different arrangements.
CHALLENGE PROJECT - The block "Turning Star" (a more difficult pattern) was
chosen for those interested in making another block. These blocks will be
collected until we have enough to make a quilt and it will be given to "Quilts of Valor". Use the same colors as in the photo (red, blue, gold and
white).
All of our Block of the Month patterns can be found at: http://www.quilterscache.com/
AUGUST
Eight Pointed Star Variation: blue and yellow
SEPTEMBER

opposing corners of the side squares forming the star points.
PLEASE REMEMBER: BE SURE THAT YOUR BLOCK MEASURES 12 1/2 INCHES WHEN YOU
TURN IT IN AT THE QUILD MEETING.
Enjoy making your blocks!
